FEBRUARY

Be Kind Children's Event, 19th & 20th February 

Join us at our FREE 'Be Kind' Event on Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th February! 💞🌎

With lessons on how to reduce food waste, decorating cookies to gift to a loved one*, face painting, visits from our cheeky mascot Charlie the monkey, as well as a food bank collection point, there's lots of activities for the little ones to enjoy whilst they're on their school holidays. February for Fella's, Ahead of Wellbeing Community

This is a celebration of the bravery of local men, turning up and overturning the stigma that men do not have feelings, or stress, or mental ill health. So whether you are struggling with your own feelings, lonely, isolated dont know where to turn, or you are supporting a loved one with their mental health, or caring commitments then please come along to Ahead of Wellbeing's FREE chill and chat group held on the following dates; 20th & 27th February from 7.30pm-8.30pm.

Disney Evening with Indigo Arts, Saturday 29th February

Indigo's fab performing company IndigoCo, bring a world of Disney to Indigo's latest Pop Up! Join them for a fun-filled Disney evening featuring all your fave songs and more Disney delights! Space is limited, so grab your tickets fast.

MacIntyre Charity Pop-up Living Room, 2nd-4th March

In March the lovely team from MacIntyre Charity will be hosting a public living room in Milward Square, opposite The Range here at Kingfisher. The purpose of the event is to get people in the community talking; encouraging inclusion and promoting the importance of working together to ensure no one is left behind. Parent & Toddler Fayre at 360 Play Town, Redditch, 3rd March

Join the team at 360 Play Town's Parent & Toddler Fayre on 3rd March from 10am-2pm. This is a great opportunity for local families to browse stalls from local businesses, find out more about local toddler classes and nurseries and so much more! There's all the usual 360 Play fun to be had too making it a great day out for young families.

Drawing Classes by Tony Collins

A new programme of drawing classes, led by local artist Tony Collins. Classes will be held between 10am-12pm at Canon Newton House, Kingfisher Redditch. Classes cost £4 per session with materials included and will run every Thursday.. The drawing classes are suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced. Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard scheme

Supporting Purple Tuesday's campaign, the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard scheme is an initiative designed to act as a discreet sign that somebody has a hidden disability. These lanyards are universally recognised and can be taken and worn by people with hidden disabilities to signal that help may be required. Sunflower lanyards are available to collect from Guest Services, near Boots. 

Indigo Arts Workshops

The weekly workshops are back and they are looking for new recruits for the following :

Musicmaker Singing and Performance Workshops - Mondays: 4 - 6 year olds between 6 - 7pm, 6 - 11 year olds between 6-8pm, 12 - 18 year olds between 7-9pm 
Community Singers - Wednesdays: 25 years and over between 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Vocal Ink Creative Writing Workshops | every other Monday. 12pm

Littlewoods Knitting Group 

Learn the craft of knitting, crochet, tunisian crochet, broom stick lace, loom work and more for. £1.50 per week including refreshments every Monday 10.30am - 12.30pm | St. Peters Church, Littlewoods, Crabbs Cross, B97 5LB


Redditch Baby Bank

The Redditch Baby Bank is a volunteer-led project aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby or young children (aged 0-2 years).

They collect donations of baby clothing, equipment and toiletries which are then donated to families in Redditch and the surrounding areas who are struggling to provide these items themselves; including, but not limited to teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking. Redditch Food Bank

Redditch foodbank relies on the community's goodwill and support to provide nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred in crisis. Food donations can be dropped off at Hays Travel, Kingfisher everyday between 9am - 5pm. For more info: https://redditch.foodbank.org.uk/
