From Saturday 28 November to Christmas Eve, the doors to The Elf Academy are open at Kingfisher, giving little ones the chance to step into Santa’s magical world and discover what it really takes to become one of his elves.

Let the magic begin
Their adventure begins at Elf Reception, where Merry Martha or Buddy the Elf will check their elf-abetical filing system before welcoming them into the academy.

Once inside, it’s time to get to work. Little recruits will meet their fellow honorary elves and take part in a fun, interactive experience packed with festive activities, top secret elf handshakes and plenty of Christmas cheer.

With a little help from our merry elves, they’ll discover the secrets of life at the North Pole and learn what it takes to join Santa’s team. But every aspiring elf knows there’s one very important person they need to meet...Santa!

It’s Santa!
Each family will have their own special visit with Santa, with time to chat, take your own photos, and enjoy a little Christmas magic together. Every participating child will also receive a special Christmas gift to take home.

To top it all off, there’s still one final elf challenge to complete.
Create your very own Elfie, that’s an elf selfie! Then choose whether to add your festive portrait to the Elf Academy Wall of Fame or take it home as a special keepsake.

What is The Elf Academy?
Elf Academy is a magical Christmas grotto experience where little ones can step into the world of Santa’s elves. They’ll meet our merry elves, take part in festive activities, learn some secret elf skills and enjoy a special visit with Santa.

What age is Elf Academy suitable for?
Elf Academy is designed to spark little imaginations! We recommend the experience for children who believe in the magic of Santa and are old enough to enjoy and take part in the activities. However, younger children are very welcome to join us too, especially if they’re excited to meet Santa!

Do children need an adult with them?
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience. Adults do not need to take part in the activities, but we encourage you to join in with the festive fun!

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, booking is recommended as spaces are limited.

Can I take photos and videos?
Yes! You’re welcome to take photos and videos during your Elf Academy experience, including your family visit with Santa. Please be mindful of other families and avoid capturing other children without their parent or guardian’s permission.

Are there SEND-friendly sessions?
Yes, please see the SEND option when booking. If there are additional needs in your party or you have any questions about whether Elf Academy will be suitable for those attending, please contact guestservices@kingfisher-centre.co.uk before booking, and our merry team will be happy to assist you.
