Arts in Redditch Pop-Up Gallery is back
17 September -27 September
Arts in Redditch (AIR) has announced that its latest event for local artists and art lovers, its Autumn Pop-Up Gallery, will return to a new venue. The gallery, which runs from 17th to 27th September, will occupy a vacant unit in Park Walk in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, opposite Waterstones.
The gallery will showcase the huge variety of creative talent at work in the Redditch area, and encourage others to get involved.
45 local artists will be exhibiting their work, which will include original paintings, drawings, studio pottery, needlecraft, jewellery and photography, and all work will be available to purchase. The gallery will be open from 10.0am until 4.0pm for the duration.
On the first Saturday of the gallery – 19th September - Arts in Redditch will also be participating in a Heritage Open day celebration of the Paolozzi mosaics, with AIR Trustee Philip Roberts doing introductory talks at 11.0 am and 2.0pm. This event will be taking place in Milward Square, outside Coffee #1.
Commenting on this latest event, Philip commented: “It’s now 12 years since we opened our first Pop-Up Gallery and we are delighted to be back in a unit we have occupied in the past, with one of our best line ups of local artists, exhibiting a fantastic selection of over 400 pieces of original work for sale, not to mention cards, prints & other items based on their original designs.
Once again, we are indebted to General Manager Fiona Faizey and her team at the Kingfisher Centre, without whose support these events could not happen”.
