Child Safe Zone
In November 2003 the Kingfisher Shopping Centre launched a new Child Safe Zone scheme to ensure that all children visiting the centre are in the safest possible environment and can be reunited with you, should they become lost, in the shortest possible time!
The Kingfisher is the first shopping centre in the region, and one of the first in the UK, to introduce this vital new safety service. Registration with the Child Safe Zone means that your child's details are stored on a secure database, including a description, your contact details, and even a picture of your child. If you and your child become separated in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, your child's details are forwarded to security guards and CCTV, so that all staff know exactly who they're looking for. Plus, if your child is tagged with a Child Safe Zones Family ID wristband, anyone finding your child can read your contact details from the wristband. And even if you're not registered, simply call the number on the window stickers found in some shop windows around the centre and security staff will be available to help.
To register your child on the Child Safe Zone database simply pick up a form from Adams Kids store located in between BHS and Next. Alternatively in you wish simply to pick up a wristband to 'tag' your child during your visit then these can also be picked up from Adams Kids store free of charge. Once registered, your children's details are totally secure and controlled by you - even security personnel and police can only access the information at your say so. Only if somebody else finds your child will we access your record to retrieve contact information to reunite you with your child.
